New Delhi (Gurpreet Singh): The founder of the Cockroach Janata Party, Abhijeet Dipke, announced that the organization is preparing to initiate a fresh wave of public demonstrations, framing the upcoming campaign as “Season 2 of Jantar Mantar”. Speaking at a public gathering, Dipke shared that the decision follows sustained encouragement and inquiries across social media platforms following the group’s previous extended protest movement in New Delhi.
During his address, Dipke alleged that the organization encountered systemic obstacles and political interference while attempting to secure a venue for a scheduled volunteers’ meeting in the national capital. He claimed that several hall owners turned down their reservation requests, attributing the decisions to pressure from higher authorities. Dipke further stated that even after obtaining a hall, the owners received direct threats warning of severe consequences if the event took place, pointing to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party as the force behind these actions.
Party leaders reaffirmed that intimidation tactics would not disrupt their upcoming roadmap. CJP Chief Spokesperson Saurav Das explained that regional demonstrations are already underway across various parts of the country. Das detailed that the party is launching a nationwide “listening tour” to directly engage with citizens and gather ground feedback, prioritizing educational reforms and student welfare starting on Independence Day.
The latest announcement comes in the wake of the CJP concluding a 37-day protest at Jantar Mantar on July 25. That demonstration was called off following the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and official assurances addressing primary student demands.
