Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini chaired the District Public Relations and Grievance Committee meeting in Gurugram, emphasizing that no compromises will be made regarding the city’s cleanliness, beautification, and urban development. Out of the 15 grievances presented during the session, the Chief Minister resolved 13 on the spot, directing officials to submit detailed status reports for the remaining two pending cases at the next meeting. The session was attended by Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh alongside local legislators.
Addressing officials, Chief Minister Saini stressed the importance of swift, transparent, and time-bound resolution for grievances submitted through the CM Window platform. He warned that negligence or unresponsiveness from administrative staff would result in strict disciplinary action. In response to issues raised by residents of Wazirpur Enclave in Manesar regarding infrastructure deficits, the Chief Minister instructed departments to conduct joint surveys and prioritize the delivery of civic amenities, including sewage systems, street lighting, roads, and power infrastructure.
The Chief Minister also took a firm stance against private builders engaging in arbitrary practices. Responding to complaints from Sector-83 residents whose power supply was disconnected over unpaid maintenance fees, Saini ordered strict action against developers who cut essential services, declaring such acts unacceptable. Additionally, addressing open construction and demolition waste dumping in Sector-102, he mandated that builders illegally dumping waste be fined and held financially accountable for clearance costs, directing officials to ensure the city is free of open C&D waste within a month.
