Kejriwal Announces Nationwide Signature Campaign Demanding Action Over Alleged Ram Mandir Irregularities

Chandigarh (Gurpreet Singh): Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal announced that the party will launch a nationwide signature campaign seeking strict action against individuals allegedly involved in financial regularities at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. The initiative will officially commence on Sunday following a community recitation of the Sundarkand scheduled for 10 a.m. at Japanese Park in Rohini, New Delhi.

Addressing a press conference, Kejriwal criticized the central government, claiming that the current administration is actively shielding high-profile individuals responsible for significant land scams and construction contract manipulation connected to the temple trust. He highlighted documented instances where land valued at ₹2 crore was allegedly purchased by the trust for ₹18 crore, alongside claims from engineers that a 40% commission was demanded for construction work. Kejriwal expressed frustration that despite extensive documentary evidence and CCTV footage, no formal investigation or FIR has been initiated against key figures, noting that only low-level individuals have been arrested so far.

The upcoming campaign will feature the mass distribution of a public letter addressed directly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The letter notes that millions of devotees contributed their hard-earned life savings to the temple construction out of pure faith, which has now been deeply compromised by the silence of the Prime Minister, who personally appointed the members of the temple trust. Kejriwal urged followers and citizens to participate in large numbers, stating that volunteers will conduct door-to-door outreach to gather signatures alongside local recitations of the Hanuman Chalisa and religious ceremonies across Delhi and the rest of the country.
