Haryana to Transform Pinjore Yadavindra Gardens and Tikkar Taal with 90 Crore Rupee Revamp

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): The Haryana government has initiated a major overhaul to establish the state as a premier destination on the national tourism map. Following a high-level review meeting in Chandigarh, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini directed the tourism department to modernize the historic Yadavindra Gardens in Pinjore and the scenic Tikkar Taal in Morni Hills in alignment with international standards. The ambitious redevelopment blueprint carries a proposed capital allocation of approximately 90 crore rupees. State officials emphasized that the extensive transformation will significantly expand regional employment opportunities, stimulate local hospitality markets, and substantially increase state tourism revenues.

Aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Wed in India’ vision, Chief Minister Saini instructed authorities to develop a high-tech, comprehensive destination wedding hub adjacent to the Yadavindra Gardens. The proposed lifestyle destination will integrate a state-of-the-art convention hall, extensive exhibition spaces, and modern guest amenities to create an alternate premium revenue stream for the department. Furthermore, the state plan includes the construction of a luxury hotel through a Public-Private Partnership model. To facilitate seamless transit for international and domestic high-net-worth guests, the premium hotel will feature an advanced rooftop helipad, providing direct aerial access to the heritage property.

Providing a detailed breakdown of the structural components, Commissioner and Secretary of the Heritage and Tourism Department Dr. Amit Agrawal assured that the core historical and traditional architecture of Yadavindra Gardens will remain strictly preserved during the modernization phase. To boost evening footfall, the department will introduce advanced musical fountains, a dedicated butterfly park, a curated aquarium, and specialized heritage illumination concepts. Concurrently, the government will completely revamp the recreational ecosystem at Tikkar Taal in Morni Hills to position it as a top destination for adventure tourism. The eco-tourism project will upgrade the existing adventure sports park, expand boating facilities, and modernize the local haunted house attraction to deliver an immersive outdoor experience for visitors.
