Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): The Haryana government has taken a significant step toward expanding its regional industrial infrastructure by appointing two Haryana Civil Services officers as nodal officers to oversee land pooling operations. The administrative intervention is specifically directed at speeding up the land aggregation process for the proposed Industrial Model Townships in Ambala and Narayangarh. Issued by Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, the executive orders establish newly created designated posts to streamline the acquisition and pooling of necessary land parcels.
Darshan Kumar, a 2019-batch HCS officer currently serving as the Sub-Divisional Officer for Ambala City, has been assigned the additional charge of nodal officer for the land pooling initiatives of the proposed Ambala IMT. Kumar will execute these fresh oversight responsibilities alongside his existing administrative duties in the subdivision, ensuring localized leadership to coordinate with regional landholders.
Similarly, Shivjeet Bharti, a 2020-batch HCS officer who currently serves as the Sub-Divisional Officer for Narayangarh, has been designated as the nodal officer for the upcoming Narayangarh IMT. Bharti, who also holds the administrative charge of Chief Executive Officer-cum-Executive Director of the Narayangarh Sugar Mills, will manage the land aggregation framework in addition to her current multi-departmental portfolios.
According to the state directive, these specialized appointments are structured to prevent bureaucratic bottlenecks and foster direct coordination during the initial phases of property identification. By establishing dedicated oversight at the sub-divisional level, the state administration aims to fast-track the creation of these industrial hubs, ultimately positioning the Ambala and Narayangarh blocks to attract major commercial investments and boost local employment.
