Rajouri (Rajeev Sharma): Security forces have intensified anti-terror operations in the forested stretches of Rajouri district as Operation Sheruwali entered its 36th day on Friday. The prolonged operation remains focused on clearing the dense Dorimal forests in the Gambir Mughlan area and ensuring there is no militant presence in the region.

Joint teams of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with other security agencies, are continuing extensive search and surveillance activities across the challenging terrain. Officials said personnel are maintaining constant vigilance while carrying out systematic combing operations through thick forests and remote pockets.

The operation has seen multiple security agencies working in close coordination, with intelligence-based inputs guiding the search efforts. Area domination exercises, surveillance patrols and strategic deployment of personnel remain in place to prevent any movement by suspected militants.

Authorities said security arrangements have been strengthened in surrounding areas as a precautionary measure, with additional forces remaining on standby to respond swiftly to any emerging situation.

Officials maintained that the mission is progressing as planned and stressed that the operation will not be called off until every targeted location has been thoroughly searched and secured.

While no further operational details have been disclosed due to security considerations, officials reiterated that forces remain committed to completing the mission and ensuring long-term peace and stability in the region.
