Calgary ( Rajeev Sharma) : A routine curfew compliance check in northeast Calgary led to the discovery of what police allege was a significant cache of stolen merchandise, illicit drugs and other contraband, resulting in multiple charges against a Calgary woman.
According to the Calgary Police Service, officers attended a residence in the 300 block of Herron Mews N.E. on the morning of May 20, 2026, to ensure compliance with court-ordered release conditions. When the resident failed to answer the door, investigators determined she had breached the terms of her release. Officers returned the following day to execute an arrest warrant and took the suspect into custody without incident.
While inside the home, police observed drugs, cash and suspected stolen property in plain view. The residence was secured as investigators obtained a search warrant, which was executed later that day. The search uncovered more than $150,000 worth of stolen lululemon merchandise believed to have been taken during transport. Officers also seized more than $10,000 in cash, approximately 430 grams of methamphetamine, six grams of cocaine, a substantial quantity of cutting agent commonly associated with drug trafficking, illegal tobacco products, live pistol ammunition, dozens of suspected stolen identification documents and property linked to previously reported break-ins, including perfume, beauty products and a coin collection.
Cassandra Ruby ST ONGE, 35, of Calgary, has been charged with seven offences, including two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of stolen property obtained by crime over and under $5,000, possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000, possession of an identity document and possession of a prohibited weapon.
She is scheduled to appear in court on June 19, 2026. The allegations against the accused have not been tested in court, and she remains presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty
