Ayodhya (Rajeev Sharma): Ram Mandir Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra has expressed confidence in the Uttar Pradesh government’s decision to set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to examine the alleged Ram Temple donation controversy, describing the move as a timely and responsible step.
Reacting to the formation of the three-member panel, Mishra said the government’s swift response demonstrates its seriousness in addressing public concerns. He pointed out that the inquiry team comprises senior officers and has been given a clearly defined timeline to complete its task.
“The fact that the SIT was constituted within 24 hours deserves appreciation. A preliminary report has been sought within seven days, while the final findings are expected in 15 days. Such a time-bound approach reflects administrative accountability,” he remarked.
Mishra urged people to allow the investigation to proceed without prejudice and said that transparency would ultimately strengthen public trust in the system. He maintained that the probe should be viewed as an opportunity to identify facts rather than fuel speculation.
He further stated that the committee is expected to examine all aspects of the matter and recommend solutions wherever procedural weaknesses or pending concerns are detected. Any shortcomings identified during the inquiry, he added, should be addressed through appropriate corrective measures to improve institutional functioning.
The Uttar Pradesh government recently constituted the SIT following allegations linked to donations associated with the Ram Temple project. The investigation is expected to scrutinise the issues comprehensively before submitting its report to the authorities.
With the inquiry now underway, officials and stakeholders alike are awaiting the findings, which are expected to provide clarity on the matter while suggesting measures to enhance transparency and governance in future.
