Young Women Scaling New Heights Through Hard Work and Dedication: Minister Gaurav Gautam

Chandigarg (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Minister of State for Sports Gaurav Gautam stated on Sunday that young women are displaying extraordinary talent across diverse professional domains and scaling new heights through their sheer hard work, dedication, and innate capability. Speaking in Palwal, the minister emphasized that today’s youth are no longer restricted to traditional corridors of education, science, and administration. Instead, they are securing remarkable achievements in the international sports arena, bringing immense pride to both their families and the nation. He underscored that athletic engagement has evolved into a powerful medium for enhancing self-confidence, holistic personality development, and leadership qualities among young women.

The Sports Minister made these remarks after flagging off a specialized girls’ marathon organized for individuals between 14 and 18 years of age. The running event aimed to raise community awareness regarding cancer prevention while simultaneously inspiring local youth to actively integrate athletics into their daily routines. The promotional race witnessed enthusiastic, high-energy participation from female school students, local youths, and women from various sectors of the district, transforming the venue into a vibrant hub of community solidarity and fitness advocacy.

Minister Gautam highlighted that sports naturally instill essential core values such as strict discipline, robust team spirit, and the resilience to overcome challenges. Engaging in regular physical conditioning fosters sound mental and physical development while cultivating a constructive, positive outlook among citizens. He actively counselled the younger generation to consciously adopt healthy lifestyle choices, suggesting they maintain a deliberate distance from excessive smartphone usage and non-productive screen activities to prioritize active outdoor games.

Reflecting on the energetic cultural presentations delivered by participating school students at the venue, the minister highly praised their efforts in preserving and carrying forward traditional Indian cultural values and heritage. He urged the youth to permanently incorporate running and physical exercises into their daily routines to act as a powerful shield against social evils like substance abuse. Gautam concluded by emphasizing that a physically robust and healthy youth population serves as the fundamental cornerstone for building a progressive, prosperous, and resilient nation.
