Gurpreet Singh :- Personnel of the Border Security Force have detained two Pakistani nationals who allegedly entered Indian territory illegally along the India-Pakistan border. Officials said a vehicle used by the duo was also seized, while security agencies have launched a detailed investigation into the incident.
According to preliminary information, both men were reportedly engaged in supplying goods to shops in Pakistan’s Kasur region. During the course of their travel, they allegedly crossed the international border in a private vehicle and entered Indian territory, where BSF troops immediately intercepted and detained them. Authorities are still trying to determine the exact route through which they crossed into India.
The detained individuals have been identified as 60-year-old Mohammad Saleem, son of Nazir Ahmed and resident of Naster Colony on Ferozepur Road, Lahore, and 40-year-old Aamir Nawaz, son of Mohammad Nawaz and resident of Jasheen Town on Ghazi Road, Lahore.
BSF officials have also informed Pakistani Rangers stationed at the Zero Line regarding the incident. Meanwhile, officials in the Amritsar sector are conducting intensive questioning to ascertain whether the border crossing was accidental or if there was any ulterior motive behind the entry.
Security agencies are examining all possible angles as part of the ongoing probe.
