Chandigarh Traffic Police Holds Special Workshop on Soft Skills and Public-Friendly Policing

Chandigarh (Naval Kishore): Chandigarh Traffic Police organized a specialized workshop on People Friendly Communication, Soft Skills, and Behavioral Change for traffic personnel as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen professional policing, improve public interaction, and enhance road safety awareness in the city.

The workshop was conducted at the Traffic Auditorium in Sector 29 under the leadership of Dr. Sagar Preet Hooda and the guidance of Pushpendra Kumar and Sumer Partap Singh. The programme was closely supervised by Neeraj Sarna and Lakshay Pandey.

Around 120 officers and officials from the Traffic Wing participated in the workshop. During the sessions, Dr. Parvesh Sharma and Surinder Kumar emphasized the importance of effective communication, positive behavior, and professional conduct while interacting with the public during traffic duties.

The workshop featured expert sessions by Dr. Kuldeep Singh, Dr. Nandita Singh, and Amulya Shukla.

The sessions focused on improving verbal and non-verbal communication, empathy in policing, conflict resolution, handling difficult situations, and strengthening police-public relations through behavioral transformation and smart policing practices.

Interactive group discussions and practical exercises on public interaction allowed participants to share real-life challenges faced during duty, making the workshop engaging and solution-oriented. The initiative was widely appreciated by both participants and resource persons.

The workshop reflects the continued commitment of Chandigarh Traffic Police towards building a more responsive, professional, and people-friendly policing system in the city.
