May 1 declared public holiday across Punjab on Labour Day

Gurpreet Singh :- Punjab will observe a statewide public holiday on May 1 in connection with Labour Day, offering relief to students and employees amid the ongoing heatwave. As per official orders, all government offices, boards, corporations and public educational institutions will remain closed for the day. The annual observance recognises the contribution of workers and is marked across the state with various events and programmes. Routine government functioning will resume the following day, while essential services are expected to continue without disruption.
