AGTF Nabs Key Gang Associate Linked to Interstate Crime Syndicate, Arms Seized

Chandigarh (Gurpreet Singh): In a continued crackdown on organized crime, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of Punjab has detained an alleged operative connected to the network of gangster Arzoo Bishnoi. Officials said the arrest marks an important step in efforts to curb inter-state criminal activities.

The accused had been evading law enforcement and was reportedly wanted in a murder case registered in Rajasthan, where authorities had also announced a monetary reward for his capture.

During the operation, security personnel recovered a .32 calibre pistol along with three live rounds, indicating the suspect’s potential involvement in serious criminal activities. The weapon has been sent for forensic examination.

Police sources stated that the accused is believed to have links extending beyond state borders, and investigators are now working to identify other members of the network. Efforts are underway to map out the entire chain of operations, including those who may have aided or sheltered the suspect.

Reaffirming its stance, Punjab Police said it will continue targeted operations against criminal syndicates to maintain public safety and dismantle gang networks operating in the region. Further investigation in the case is in progress.
