Gurpreet Singh :- Panic spread across the area on Monday after a bomb threat was reported at Dr Ambedkar College in Sector 42, prompting an immediate response from security agencies. The alert was triggered when the control room received a message warning of a possible explosion at the college premises.
Responding without delay, Chandigarh Police teams rushed to the campus and initiated a comprehensive search operation. Bomb disposal squads, along with other security personnel, carried out a thorough inspection of classrooms, administrative buildings and nearby surroundings to rule out any potential danger.
Taking no chances, authorities swiftly evacuated students, staff and visitors from the campus and tightened security arrangements in and around the institution. Officials maintained that the threat was treated with utmost seriousness to ensure public safety.
Meanwhile, an investigation has been launched to identify the origin of the threatening message. Police officials said efforts are underway to trace those responsible and verify the credibility of the alert.
