Surrey’s Mega Nagar Kirtan to Serve 15,000 Free Veg Burgers, Over 6 Lakh Devotees Expected

Rajeev Sharma :- Preparations are in full swing for the globally renowned Nagar Kirtan in Surrey, where organisers and volunteer groups are set to distribute nearly 15,000 vegetarian burgers free of cost as part of the traditional langar service. The initiative is being undertaken by various community groups and families, who will collectively prepare and serve the food to thousands of devotees attending the event.

According to available information, the burger distribution will be one of several large-scale food services planned during the procession, with a wide variety of other meals and refreshments also being arranged for the sangat. The spirit of sewa (selfless service) is expected to be on full display, as volunteers come together to cater to the needs of attendees.

The Nagar Kirtan, organised from Gurdwara Dashmesh Darbar in Surrey, is considered one of the largest Sikh religious processions in the world. Each year, it draws an estimated gathering of around 600,000 participants, making it a significant cultural and spiritual event for the Sikh community globally.
