Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini launched a sharp critique against the opposition during a “Dhanyawad and Vikas” (Thanksgiving and Development) rally in Meham on Sunday. The Chief Minister stated that the opposition, lacking substantive issues, is now attempting to mislead farmers regarding crop procurement. He assured the agricultural community that the state government is committed to buying every single grain produced by them and has already deployed necessary personnel at various mandis to ensure a seamless process. CM Saini remarked that the opposition’s discomfort stems from the closure of “corruption shops” that flourished during their previous tenure.

During the event, Chief Minister Saini inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth over 202.77 crore. He also announced an additional grant of 10 crore for the development of the Meham constituency. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized that the BJP-led double-engine government follows the mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” ensuring that development is not biased by whether a constituency is represented by a ruling party or an opposition MLA. He noted that in the last eleven and a half years, 1,328 crore has been spent on Meham’s development, a significant increase compared to the 584 crore spent during the decade of Congress rule.
The Chief Minister highlighted the state’s progress in employment and social security, noting that 36,000 youths were given government jobs in the last year alone without any bribery or recommendation. He further detailed various welfare schemes, including the “Deendayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana” providing financial aid to women and the provision of gas cylinders for 500 to underprivileged families. CM Saini also contrasted his government’s housing success with the previous administration, claiming that the BJP has provided 1.60 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, whereas the previous government failed to provide even the necessary paperwork or possession to the poor.
Cabinet Ministers Krishna Lal Panwar and Dr. Arvind Sharma, along with Rajya Sabha MP Ramchandra Jangra, also addressed the rally, echoing the Chief Minister’s sentiments on equitable development. They emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CM Saini, Haryana is witnessing a transformative era where welfare reaches the last person in the queue. The Chief Minister concluded by warning against the black marketing of petroleum products and reiterated that strict action, including the filing of FIRs, is being taken to protect the interests of the common citizens.
