Sacrilege Reported at Gurdwara Nauvi Patshahi Sathiala, Angs of Guru Granth Sahib Found Torn

Gurpreet Singh :- Tension gripped the area after an incident of alleged sacrilege was reported at Gurdwara Nauvi Patshahi in Sathiala village. According to information shared by local religious leaders, several angs (holy pages) of the Guru Granth Sahib were found torn and thrown in a nearby street, triggering anger and grief among the Sikh community.

Head Granthi Giani Sucha Singh and Giani Buta Singh, along with members of the sangat, stated that around nine angs of the holy scripture had been damaged in the incident. The discovery led to a large number of devotees gathering at the gurdwara, expressing deep concern over the act.

Following the incident, police officials, including DSP Arun Sharma and SHO Gurvinder Singh Beas, reached the spot to assess the situation. Authorities have begun examining CCTV cameras installed in and around the gurdwara premises as part of the investigation.

Police officials stated that legal action is being initiated and efforts are underway to identify those responsible for the incident. Meanwhile, local residents and devotees have demanded strict action against the culprits to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future.
