Delhi Police Nab Alleged Conspirator in Attack on Advocate Connected to Bishnoi

Delhi Police Mounts Large-Scale Raids Against Gangsters in NCR and Haryana

Delhi (Gurpreet Singh): A key suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the recent gunfire incident targeting advocate Deepak Khatri, who has represented jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in legal matters.

The shooting occurred last week near the Marghat Wale Hanuman Temple in the vicinity of the Kashmere Gate ISBT in north Delhi. According to investigators, assailants fired multiple shots at a car carrying Khatri and his associates late at night before fleeing the scene.

Police on Tuesday identified the arrested individual as Rohit Solanki, describing him as a central figure in orchestrating and executing the attack. Officials said evidence gathered so far points to a premeditated plan, with the accused allegedly coordinating logistics and movement prior to the assault.

While no lives were lost, the incident raised concerns over the safety of lawyers handling sensitive criminal cases. Authorities are probing whether gang rivalry or ongoing disputes may have triggered the attack.

Search operations are underway to trace other suspects believed to be part of the plot. Investigators said they are reviewing surveillance footage and call records to piece together the sequence of events.

Senior officers emphasized that additional arrests are likely as the inquiry continues, adding that security measures in vulnerable areas have been reinforced in the aftermath of the shooting.
