Gurpreet Singh :- At a massive Congress rally in Barnala, Rahul Gandhi delivered a sharp and uncompromising message to the Punjab unit of the party, making it clear that indiscipline and internal factionalism will no longer be tolerated. While targeting the Centre over key policy issues, he also turned his focus inward, cautioning senior state leaders against prioritizing personal ambitions over party unity.
In a firm tone, Gandhi stressed that no individual, regardless of stature, is bigger than the party. He underlined that electoral victories are achieved through collective effort, not individual prominence. Leaders who fail to function as team players, he warned, may find themselves sidelined when crucial decisions, including ticket distribution, are made.
Reiterating that grassroots workers form the backbone of the Congress, Gandhi emphasized that strengthening the organization at the ground level is essential for political revival in Punjab. Political observers view his remarks as an early signal ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections, indicating that loyalty, discipline, and teamwork will be decisive factors in shaping the party’s future strategy in the state.
