Calgary ( Rajeev Sharma): Calgary’s lovers of ghazals and classic melodies are set to witness a memorable musical evening as “Yeh Shaam Preet Ke Naam – Tribute to Jagjit Singh” is being presented on February 28, 2026, at the Engineered Air Theatre (234 9 Ave SE, Calgary). The concert is dedicated to celebrating the timeless musical legacy of legendary ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh, whose soulful voice and poetic expression continue to touch hearts across generations.
The evening will feature powerful and melodious performances by Nilesh Prashad, Kavita Jayaram, Gursharan Singh, Valorine Melani (Meeka Singh), Baljit Kalsi, Arijita Roy Gautham, Sohail Rajai, and Gulnar Dhalwani. The artists will present selected ghazals and popular compositions associated with Jagjit Singh, aiming to recreate the depth, romance, and emotional richness of his music for Calgary audiences.
