Early Onset of Heat in Punjab This February; Clear Skies Till 16th, Rain Likely Under Western Disturbance Influence

National Times Bureau :- Punjab has begun witnessing early signs of rising temperatures this February, hinting at the approaching summer season sooner than usual. Daytime temperatures across several districts have climbed above the seasonal average, while bright sunshine and dry weather conditions have prevailed in most parts of the state.

According to meteorological observations, the weather is expected to remain largely clear and dry until February 16. Residents are likely to experience warm afternoons, though mornings and evenings may continue to remain relatively pleasant.

However, a change in weather conditions is anticipated after February 16 due to the impact of an approaching western disturbance. The system may bring light to moderate rainfall in isolated areas of the state, along with increased cloud cover. A slight dip in temperatures is also expected following the rainfall activity.

Weather experts suggest that while the early rise in temperature is not unusual, fluctuating patterns caused by western disturbances during this period can temporarily alter conditions. Farmers have been advised to stay updated with forecasts, particularly in view of possible rain and changing wind patterns in the coming days.
