Photos of accused who shot Kabaddi Promoter Rana Balachauria sufarce

National Times Bureau :- A major development has emerged in the murder case of Kabaddi promoter Rana Balachauria in Mohali, as the police have released photographs of the accused involved in the shooting.

Although the suspects had already been identified, their images have now been made public. The released photographs clearly show both individuals who carried out the brutal crime.

Mohali SSP Harmandeep Singh Hans, during a press conference on Tuesday, revealed that the shooters have been identified as Aditya Kapoor and Karan Pathak, both residents of Amritsar.

According to police records, both accused are habitual offenders. Aditya Kapoor has 13 criminal cases registered against him, while Karan Pathak is involved in two criminal cases.

Investigations have revealed that the attackers approached Rana Balachauria while posing as his fans. They allegedly stopped him on the pretext of taking a selfie and shot him in the head from point-blank range when they got the opportunity. Police officials have further stated that the murder was linked to Rana’s alleged association with gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria.

Meanwhile, Rana Balachauria was cremated on Tuesday in his native village Chankoa. His younger brother Ranvijay lit the funeral pyre in a deeply somber atmosphere. The tragedy has deeply affected the family, as Rana had married just 10 days earlier, on December 6. A large number of sports enthusiasts and local residents attended the funeral to pay their last respects.
