Thimphu, Bhutan (Rajeev Sharma): Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed profound grief over the deadly car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday evening and assured that the perpetrators will be held accountable.
Speaking from Thimphu, the Prime Minister said, “I come here with a very heavy heart. The horrific incident in Delhi yesterday evening has deeply saddened the entire nation. I share in the grief of the families affected, and the nation stands firmly with them today.”
Modi highlighted that the government is closely monitoring the ongoing investigation. “I was in constant contact with all the agencies handling this case throughout last night. Every effort is being made to uncover the full details of this conspiracy,” he said.
He also delivered a strong message to those behind the attack: “The conspirators responsible for this act will not be spared. All those involved will be brought to justice.”
The Prime Minister’s remarks come amid nationwide concern following the blast, which claimed 12 lives and left several others injured, prompting an immediate mobilization of security and investigative teams. Authorities continue to examine CCTV footage, communication records, and other crucial evidence to identify and apprehend the culprits.
Modi’s statement reinforces the government’s firm stance against acts of terror, promising both swift action and transparency in the investigation while extending solidarity to the victims and their families.
