Haryana to Equip All Government Hospitals with Modern Facilities: Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao

Chandigarh, October 7, 2025: Haryana Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao announced that the state government is committed to modernizing all government health institutions across the state. She said the government is working to ensure the availability of medicines and advanced medical equipment in hospitals to provide quality healthcare to the poor and underprivileged.

Rao revealed that the Special High-Powered Purchase Committee has recently approved the procurement of medicines and medical equipment worth around ₹120 crore. This move aims to strengthen healthcare facilities in various districts and ensure high-quality diagnostic and treatment services for patients.

Under the plan, MRI machines will be installed at eight locations and CT scan machines at two centers in the state under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode. Additionally, ECG testing services will be finalized at 604 locations at approved rates.

The committee also approved the purchase of 67 anesthesia workstations worth approximately ₹23 crore for all civil hospitals in Haryana. In addition, 22 nasal endoscopes for ENT patients will be procured for around ₹2 crore, 40 TrueNat machines for TB testing at ₹6 crore, and 15 PathoDetect machines for ₹13 crore.

The minister further said that special arrangements have been made to ensure a steady supply of essential medicines to all government hospitals. Based on the recommendations of doctors and medical experts, the government has signed contracts worth ₹75 crore with various pharmaceutical companies for the purchase of crucial medicines.

The list includes important drugs such as Anti-Hemophilia EHL Recombinant Factor VIII injections for bleeding disorder patients, Anti RH-O-D injections for pregnant women, IFA syrup, and other vital antibiotics and life-saving drugs.

Rao emphasized that all these medicines and equipment will soon be available in government hospitals across Haryana. She also assured that if any additional requirement arises in the future, fresh purchases will be made promptly.

“Our goal is to ensure affordable, accessible, and quality healthcare for every citizen of Haryana,” she said. “No one should suffer due to a lack of treatment. We aim to make Haryana a healthy, safe, and strong state.”
