Ward 10 Candidate Tarlochan Sidhu Emerges as Frontrunner, Residents Signal Desire for Change

Calgary ( Rajeev Sharma): The municipal race in Ward 10 is drawing intense attention, with Tarlochan Singh Sidhu emerging as a frontrunner, according to local community surveys and resident feedback.

Sidhu, known for his deep community roots and focus on infrastructure improvements, public safety, and stronger neighborhood services, is being seen as a candidate capable of delivering change. Many Ward 10 residents, who have long expressed frustration over aging roads, traffic issues, and limited civic services, say they want a representative who will act on these concerns.

“I believe Tarlochan Sidhu represents a fresh start for our ward,” one resident told National Times. “We need a councillor who listens and delivers.”

Other candidates in the race include Andre Chabot, the incumbent councillor with decades of council experience, and Mahmoud Mourra, who is running on a platform of new ideas and community engagement. Additional declared candidates continue to campaign but face the challenge of building visibility.

Observers note that while Sidhu is gaining strong momentum, the race is not yet decided. With advanced polling scheduled from October 6 to October 11, and undecided voters still in play, the final outcome will hinge on turnout and last-minute campaigning.

Ward 10’s race is increasingly being described as one that could “make new history” by shifting representation and priorities in one of Calgary’s most diverse wards.
