Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Unwell, Kejriwal Rushes to Check on Him

Chandigarh (National Times Bureau): Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who has been at the forefront of monitoring flood relief work across the state, has reportedly taken ill. The news of his deteriorating health has raised concern at a time when Punjab is grappling with one of its worst natural calamities in recent history.

According to officials, the exact cause of the Chief Minister’s sudden illness has not yet been confirmed.

AAP’s national convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal reached Bhagwant Mann’s residence to personally inquire about his condition. Kejriwal, who was already in Punjab to review the ongoing crisis, expressed solidarity with the Chief Minister’s family and assured full support from the party’s leadership.

Over the past several weeks, Mann has been seen touring the worst-affected districts, meeting residents who lost homes, livestock, and crops. His direct involvement in relief distribution and rehabilitation efforts had drawn praise .

Meanwhile, rescue and relief operations remain underway across Punjab, with state agencies, the Army, and NDRF teams working on restoring normalcy.
