National Times Bureau :- Punjab is currently grappling with severe floods, prompting swift action from Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha. In a significant move to support relief and rehabilitation efforts, Chadha has approved ₹3.25 crore from his Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) fund.
The allocated amount will be utilized to provide immediate relief, restore essential services, and support those displaced due to the flood situation. Chadha emphasized that the primary focus is to ensure timely aid reaches the affected people and that necessary measures are taken to rebuild the damaged infrastructure.
Expressing solidarity with the flood-affected residents, he stated that every possible step would be taken to assist the state government and local administration in their ongoing efforts. Relief operations are being closely monitored, and further assistance will be extended based on the evolving situation.
