Haryana CM Reaches Out to Punjab Amid Flood Crisis, Offers Immediate Support

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): As Punjab battles widespread flooding caused by overflowing rivers and dams, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has extended a formal offer of assistance to his counterpart, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

In a letter addressed to CM Mann, Saini expressed deep concern over the worsening flood situation and the hardships being faced by the people in the affected districts. Calling the disaster a “difficult time for our brothers and sisters in Punjab,” the Haryana CM offered full support from his government and people.

“We in Haryana stand with Punjab during this natural calamity. If you require any assistance—be it rescue teams, relief supplies, medical services, or other emergency support—please feel free to let me know,” the letter stated.

Saini assured that Haryana is ready to respond promptly with all available resources to aid the ongoing rescue and relief operations. He also emphasized the shared responsibility of neighboring states to support one another in times of crisis.

“Our goal is to ensure that timely help reaches every individual affected by this disaster,” he wrote, underscoring Haryana’s commitment to regional solidarity.

The communication comes as multiple districts in Punjab remain inundated due to rising water levels in Pong Dam and Ranjit Sagar Dam. The Punjab government, along with the Army, NDRF, and local authorities, continues to carry out rescue efforts amid challenging conditions.

Saini’s letter is being viewed as a strong gesture of regional cooperation and human concern, as both states work to protect lives and restore normalcy.
