National Times Bureau :- The Punjab government has announced plans to modernize the state’s prisons with state-of-the-art jammers and advanced security equipment.
According to the official statement, the initiative aims to strengthen surveillance, prevent illegal communication from inside prisons, and enhance overall security measures. These modern jammers will block unauthorized mobile signals, ensuring no misuse of communication devices by inmates.
Authorities also confirmed that alongside jammers, additional high-tech monitoring and security systems will be installed to make the jails more secure and effectively managed.
