Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has conveyed heartfelt condolences to the families affected by the devastating LPG tanker explosion in Hoshiarpur’s Mandialan village. The blast claimed several lives and left others injured, sparking shock and grief across the region.
In his message, the Chief Minister said the state government shares the pain of the bereaved families. “This unfortunate incident has caused an irreparable loss. I pray for strength to the families of the deceased and a quick recovery for the injured,” Mann stated.
Financial Assistance and Medical Care
To provide immediate relief, the Punjab government has sanctioned Rs 2 lakh ex gratia compensation for each of the families who lost a member in the explosion. The injured will receive free treatment at government hospitals to ensure their full recovery without financial burden.
Govt Stands With Families
Mann directed the district administration to extend full cooperation to the victims’ families and to closely monitor the treatment of the injured. He emphasized that the state stands united with the people during such difficult times.
Probe Into Cause of Explosion
Authorities have begun investigating the circumstances that led to the tanker blast. While initial reports suggest the explosion was caused by gas leakage, officials are working to identify the exact trigger.
The Punjab government has reiterated its resolve to take strict measures to prevent similar mishaps in the future and to strengthen safety protocols in handling LPG and other inflammable materials.
