Faridabad (Balwinder Singh): In a major breakthrough, the Faridabad Crime Branch has arrested Ishant alias Ishu Gandhi, who is accused of opening fire outside social media star Elvish Yadav’s Gurugram residence on August 17.
Police sources revealed that Gandhi was intercepted during a late-night operation, where he allegedly fired multiple rounds at the police team with an automatic pistol. Officers returned fire, during which the accused sustained a bullet injury in his leg. He was immediately taken to hospital and is undergoing treatment under police custody.
Investigators said the accused had been on the run since the firing incident, which triggered security concerns around Yadav’s residence. Efforts are now being made to trace any accomplices and to identify the motive behind the attack.
Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken against those involved in the case, and additional security arrangements remain in place in Gurugram.
