Donald Trump Urges Caution Amid Pacific Tsunami Threat

Trump Says Denying Him Nobel Prize Would Shame the Nation

Washington (Rajeev Sharma): Following the 8.8-magnitude earthquake near Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula that triggered a series of powerful tsunami waves across the Pacific, U.S. President Donald Trump issued an urgent safety advisory on his Truth Social account.

“Due to a massive earthquake that occurred in the Pacific Ocean, a Tsunami Warning is in effect for those living in Hawaii. A Tsunami Watch is in effect for Alaska and the Pacific Coast of the United States. Japan is also in the way. Please visit tsunami.gov for the latest information. STAY STRONG AND STAY SAFE!” Trump wrote.

The U.S. National Tsunami Warning Center has issued alerts as officials closely monitor wave activity across the Pacific. Meanwhile, evacuations and emergency measures are underway in Hawaii, Japan, and parts of Russia.

The White House confirmed it is in contact with federal and state emergency agencies to ensure preparedness in case the tsunami threat escalates along the U.S. West Coast.

Authorities continue to warn residents in at-risk areas to remain vigilant and follow all official instructions.
