Haryana CM Saini Orders Timely, Quality Upgradation of Inter-State Roads, Reviews Pothole-Reporting Mobile App Progress

Chandigarh, July 22, 2025: In a move to strengthen the road infrastructure of Haryana, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has directed officials to prioritise the upgradation of inter-state roads. Chairing a high-level review meeting in Chandigarh on July 21, the CM emphasized that all entry points into Haryana must have well-maintained roads to ensure hassle-free travel for citizens.

CM Saini stressed that all repair and development work should be completed in a time-bound manner without compromising on quality. He warned officials that any negligence regarding the standard of road works would not be tolerated.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister also reviewed the progress of a new mobile application being developed to identify and resolve pothole-related complaints across the state. He instructed all departments to mark 100% of their roads and upload the data onto the app as soon as possible.

He further directed that the app should be user-friendly so that the general public can easily report damaged roads or potholes. This initiative is aimed at enabling quick action and long-term road maintenance.

Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, Principal Secretary to CM Arun Kumar Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary of Public Works Department Anurag Agarwal, Additional Principal Secretary to CM Dr. Saket Kumar, HSIIDC Managing Director Yash Garg, and Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board Chief Administrator Mukesh Kumar Ahuja, along with other senior officials, were present at the meeting.
