Indian Air Force Fighter Jet Crashes in Rajasthan's Churu; Two Injured

Churu, Rajasthan (National Times): In a shocking incident, an Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter jet crashed in Rajasthan’s Churu district on Wednesday, injuring two individuals. The crash has once again raised concerns over flight safety, coming just over a month after the deadliest aviation tragedy in India’s history—the Air India crash in Ahmedabad, which claimed over 240 lives.

The IAF jet reportedly went down in a sparsely populated area near Churu town. Eyewitnesses described seeing a plume of smoke followed by a loud explosion as the aircraft hit the ground. Emergency teams rushed to the site immediately.

This crash is the latest in a series of incidents involving aircraft across India. Since the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad, multiple aircraft—civilian and military—have reported technical snags, prompting aviation authorities to increase inspections and safety audits.

The Ministry of Defence is yet to issue a formal statement regarding the Churu incident. Meanwhile, locals and rescue personnel remain at the crash site as cleanup and preliminary assessments continue.
