32 Airports Reopen for Civil Flights After Temporary Closure During India-Pakistan Conflict

New Delhi, May 12, 2025 — In a significant step toward restoring normalcy, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has confirmed the reopening of 32 airports that were temporarily shut due to the recent India-Pakistan military conflict. Civil flight operations have now resumed with immediate effect, allowing airlines and passengers to return to regular schedules.

These airports span key regions in northern and western India, covering states such as Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Uttarakhand.

Airlines including IndiGo and SpiceJet have announced the resumption of services at these locations. Passengers are advised to check updated schedules with their respective carriers and expect minor delays as full operations are restored.
