Amritsar (National Times): The Sri Akal Takht Sahib’s acting Jathedar, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj, has expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of three Sikh civilians and the attack on Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha in Poonch district. The incident occurred amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan.

Describing the shelling as an act that targeted innocents, the Jathedar named the deceased as Bhai Amrik Singh, Bhai Amarjeet Singh, and Bhai Ranjit Singh. He also acknowledged other casualties, including Ruby Kaur, a Sikh woman from Mankote.

The Jathedar’s statement reflected a strong call for both nations to end bloodshed. “Every possible effort must be made to resolve the situation peacefully,” he declared. He also reminded the public of the immense suffering endured by Punjabis and Kashmiris due to decades of conflict.

He offered prayers for the victims and encouraged residents of border regions to unite in Gurbani and pray to Akal Purakh for strength and harmony.
