Suspicious Death of Derabassi Girl in Canada; Family Alleges Murder

Derabassi, April 28 – A 21-year-old girl from Derabassi, who had gone to Canada for higher studies, has died under suspicious circumstances. The deceased has been identified as Vanshika, daughter of Aam Aadmi Party leader Davinder Saini, a resident of Saini Mohalla and a close associate of local MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa.

According to information gathered, Vanshika had moved to Ottawa, Canada, two and a half years ago after completing her 12th grade. She was enrolled in a two-year course and had appeared for her final exam on April 18. Recently, she had also started a job. On April 22, she left for work but did not return home.

On April 25, Vanshika was supposed to appear for her IELTS exam. Her friend, who was to accompany her for the test, repeatedly called her that morning, but Vanshika’s phone was switched off. After the exam, the friend visited Vanshika’s residence and learned that she had not returned from work since April 22.

The friend immediately informed Vanshika’s family in India and her other acquaintances in Canada. Vanshika’s friends and well-wishers contacted the local Member of Parliament, who coordinated with authorities to search for her.

Today, Vanshika’s body was found along the shoreline.
The tragic news has sent a wave of grief through her family. Her father mentioned that he had spoken to her on the phone on April 22 but had not heard from her since. Initially, the family thought she was busy preparing for her exams. However, they now suspect foul play and are demanding a thorough investigation into her death.
