Chandigarh, April 17. Haryana Congress held a strong protest on Thursday under the leadership of former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Haryana Congress President Chaudhary Udaibhan against the political chargesheet filed against Smt Sonia Gandhi and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi.
Thousands of Congress leaders and workers took to the streets and raised slogans against the BJP government. On this occasion, former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said independent agencies and judiciary are the basis of democracy. “If agencies are used with political malice, then it will prove to be fatal for democracy. The action being taken against the Congress leadership is very condemnable and unfortunate. The National Herald case has been converted into a money laundering case and a charge sheet has been presented after 10 years. Whereas this is a No profit, No loss trust. This is a political vendetta against our top leaders. Against which the Congress party is protesting all over the country,” he said
We will fight this battle on the streets, in the court and in the Parliament
Haryana Congress president Choudhary Udaibhan said BJP is scared of the increasing popularity of Rahul Gandhi. “This time, under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, Congress kept BJP away from the majority figure and will oust it from power in the coming times. This is the reason why BJP wants to eliminate this strongest challenge standing in front of it. But the history of Congress and Gandhi family is full of struggle. The party which did not bow down to the British will not bow down to BJP either. Ultimately truth will prevail and the power of truth is with the Congress,” he said.
