Youth-Led Vision for Haryana’s Future Takes Shape in Legislative Session

Chandigarh, March 2 – Haryana Assembly Deputy Speaker Dr. Krishna Lal Middha expressed gratitude to all office bearers of the Capital Youth Parliament for organizing the Haryana Youth Dialogue 2025 at the Haryana Vidhan Sabha. He appreciated the selection of Haryana as the venue for this significant event.

Inaugurating the two-day Haryana Youth Dialogue, Dr. Middha said it was a privilege for him, as the Deputy Speaker, to witness talented youth from across the country engage in meaningful discussions in the esteemed Assembly hall. He described the platform not just as a venue for deliberation but as a laboratory for shaping future policies. He emphasized that this stage represents a confluence of the Constitution, dialogue, and empathy—where the vision for Haryana’s future is crafted and realized.

A total of 60 youth, selected through a rigorous three-phase process, participated in the event. These young individuals not only shared their ideas but also contributed to discussions on the direction society should take and the role of youth in shaping it.

Dr. Middha highlighted the significance of the two discussion topics: Digital Growth and Expansion in Haryana, and Women Empowerment in Haryana. He stressed the importance of adapting to technological advancements, noting that if the world must change, so must our thinking along with our keyboards. He emphasized that India is a young nation, and its youth are filled with energy and enthusiasm to drive progress. He likened youth to the wind, capable of moving at great speed to bring transformation.

He urged young people to move beyond job-seeking and become job creators. He posed a critical question: Should youth merely complain on social media, or should they take proactive steps to bring about change in society? He remarked that the identity of the 21st century lies in technological awareness. Today, farmers analyze soil quality online, students in remote villages access world-class education, and women entrepreneurs run businesses through apps. Haryana needs inclusive, just, and visionary policies to harness this digital transformation. The state’s future depends on a balance between technology, administration, and social innovation.

On the topic of women empowerment, Dr. Middha stated that the progress of a nation is linked to the empowerment of its women. Where women are given opportunities, not just homes but entire nations thrive. He asserted that a nation’s progress is impossible without educated, secure, and empowered women. Beyond laws, a societal mindset shift is essential for true gender equality.

Congress MLA Geeta Bhukkal, attending as the chief guest, reiterated that youth represent the country’s bright future. She recalled the literacy movement once launched to spread education and stated that today, in the era of e-governance, it is crucial to make youth proficient in digital democracy. She explained the legislative process, highlighting the role of the executive in implementing laws and the judiciary in ensuring justice.

Discussing the National Education Policy 2020, she emphasized the importance of staying updated with e-content, as artificial intelligence is reshaping the world. She encouraged youth to utilize digital platforms to enhance democracy and governance.
