Chandigarh, March 16 – Haryana’s Minister for Public Works and Public Health, Ranbir Gangwa, stated that there will be no compromise on the quality of government projects. He warned that if any negligence is found in road construction or other public works, strict action will be taken not only against the officials responsible but also against the agencies involved.
Focus on Quality in Public Works
Speaking at a press conference in Hisar on Sunday, Gangwa said that regular inspections are being conducted to ensure proper use of public funds. He emphasized that maintaining quality in construction work is a priority for the state government.
Responding to a question about the sewer system in Hisar’s auto market, Gangwa said that officials have been directed to fix the issue immediately. He assured that similar measures are being taken across the state to improve sewer and road infrastructure with top-notch quality.
BJP’s Historic Win in Hisar Municipal Elections
Gangwa highlighted the BJP’s significant victory in the Hisar Municipal Corporation elections. BJP candidate Praveen Popli won the mayoral election by a record margin of nearly 65,000 votes. Additionally, BJP secured 17 out of 20 councilor seats, which Gangwa described as a reflection of public confidence in the BJP’s governance at the central and state levels.
Greater Responsibility for New Leadership
Gangwa congratulated the newly elected mayor and councilors, reminding them of their increased responsibility toward the people. He urged them to work according to the government’s welfare policies and accelerate urban development to meet public expectations.
The event was attended by newly elected Mayor Praveen Popli, former ministers Anoop Dhanak and Dr. Kamal Gupta, and Zila Parishad Chairman Sonu Data, among other officials.
