Chandigarh, March 9, 2025– Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya emphasized the profound impact of Swami Dayanand Saraswati’s teachings on society. He urged that Arya Samaj’s values must reach every home, as they are essential for building a civilized and progressive nation.
Governor Dattatreya was speaking at the Arya Mahasammelan held at Dayanand Math, Rohtak, marking the 200th birth anniversary of Swami Dayanand Saraswati and 150 years of Arya Samaj’s establishment. The event, organized by Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Haryana, was presided over by Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat and attended by Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda as the chief guest.
Governor Dattatreya announced ₹31 lakh for Arya Sabha, while Governor Devvrat and Minister Dhanda pledged ₹21 lakh each.
Natural Farming: The Future of Agriculture
Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat highlighted the urgent need to shift from chemical-based farming to natural farming. He revealed that the central government has allocated ₹1481 crore under the Natural Farming Mission and aims to connect one crore farmers with natural farming this year.
He also stressed the importance of protecting indigenous cows, announcing that 1,000 specialized machines will be installed across the country to improve cattle breeding. He shared his Kurukshetra Gurukul’s success, where a new breeding technique resulted in 92 out of 100 calves being female, benefiting dairy farming.
Farmers can receive free natural farming training through Haryana government initiatives at Gurukul Kurukshetra. He encouraged youth to embrace Vedic values and respect their parents, emphasizing that Arya Samaj must intensify its outreach efforts.
Arya Samaj’s Role in India’s Vision for 2047
Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda stated that Arya Samaj will be instrumental in achieving PM Narendra Modi’s vision of a fully developed India by 2047. He urged accelerating the spread of Swami Dayanand’s principles to combat social evils and modern-day challenges.
He also praised Governor Devvrat’s natural farming campaign, calling it a revolution that will shape New India.
A Grand Gathering of Arya Samaj Leaders
The event witnessed the participation of prominent Arya Samaj leaders and dignitaries from across the country, including Information Commissioner Dr. Kulbir Chhikara, Arya Pratinidhi Sabha President Deshbandhu Madan, and spiritual leaders Swami Devvrat, Acharya Satyajit, and Swami Sukh Anand.
The Arya Mahasammelan concluded with a call to action—to spread Swami Dayanand’s teachings far and wide and inspire future generations.
