Himachal Pradesh Board Cancels Class 12 English Exam Over Question Paper Leak

Dharamshala, March 7, 2025 – The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has canceled the Class 12 English exam for the March 2025 session after an early opening of the question paper at a school in Chamba district.

The board received an anonymous complaint stating that the English exam paper was accessed before the scheduled date at Government Senior Secondary School, Chowari. A detailed investigation confirmed the breach through video clips obtained from the recently introduced “Exam Mitra App.”

Taking immediate action, the Chairman of HPBOSE exercised his powers under the H.P. Board of School Education Examination Regulations, ordering the cancellation of the exam across all centers in the state. A fresh date for the rescheduled examination will be announced later.

The notification has been circulated to key officials, including the Chief Minister’s office, the Education Department, and IT authorities for updating the board’s website.

This incident raises concerns about exam security and the need for stricter measures to prevent future breaches.
