Gurugram, March 6 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has called upon newly appointed CRPF officers to uphold fairness, fearlessness, and dedication in their service. Speaking at the passing-out parade of the 55th batch of CRPF Gazetted Officers in Gurugram, he urged them to protect the law and the Constitution while ensuring the rights of citizens with sensitivity and commitment.
The ceremony witnessed the passing of 39 trainee officers, including two women, who successfully completed their rigorous training. Addressing the officers, CM Saini emphasized that their highest duty is to serve the nation with unwavering honesty and dedication. He expressed confidence that these officers would uphold CRPF’s legacy of integrity, unity, and sovereignty.
CM Praises CRPF’s Role in National Security and Modernization
Lauding the CRPF’s crucial role in internal security, the Chief Minister described the force as the backbone of national defense. He also commended its adoption of modern technologies and training methods, which prepare officers to tackle any challenge. He encouraged the officers to embrace continuous learning, stating that education and skill enhancement are essential for long-term success. The modernization of CRPF, he added, ensures that the force remains equipped to counter evolving security threats.
Congratulating the trainees and their families, CM Saini expressed confidence that these officers would make significant contributions to national security and nation-building.
Women’s Inclusion in Armed Forces: A Landmark Initiative
The Chief Minister acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic decision to integrate women into the armed forces, a move that has led to a substantial increase in female recruits. Haryana has also actively encouraged women to join the police force, currently constituting 10% of the state police. The government aims to raise this figure to 15% in the near future.
Highlighting the state’s commitment to strengthening security forces, CM Saini outlined initiatives like technical upgrades, resource expansion, and enhanced training facilities for the police. He also emphasized Haryana’s dedication to veteran welfare, mentioning the establishment of a dedicated welfare department for ex-servicemen and paramilitary personnel. The state provides ₹1 crore financial assistance and a government job to a family member of soldiers martyred in service, with 415 dependents already employed under this policy.
The event was attended by CRPF Director General Gyanendra Pratap Singh, CRPF Academy Director Sunil Kumar Jha, and other dignitaries.
