National Times Bureau :- The Zirakpur Chemist Association convened a meeting attended by senior health officials, medical experts, and a large number of medical store owners to discuss transparency and accountability in the sale of medicines. The primary aim of the meeting was to strengthen compliance with drug regulations and maintain high standards in healthcare services.
Key attendees included Zonal Licensing Authority Jasbir Pratap Singh, District Drug Control Officer Jaijai Kar Singh, MDCA President Amardeep Singh, Secretary Vikram Thakur, GCA President Puneet Kumar, Secretary Rajeev Chathli, and Tricity Chairman Amardeep Singh.
Officials directed medical store owners to maintain complete and accurate records of all drug transactions. They issued strict instructions regarding Schedule H-1 medicines, stating that such drugs must only be sold against valid, signed prescriptions. Authorities warned that strict action will be taken against violators, emphasizing that patient safety remains the top priority and negligence will not be tolerated.
