Zirakpur, February 19, 2025: IPCA, on behalf of the Punjab Plastic Waste Management Society, organized a workshop in collaboration with the Municipal Council Zirakpur for waste workers and waste collectors. The workshop focused on the role of waste workers in waste management and the importance of safety gear, with 60 waste workers from MC Zirakpur participating. The session covered the significance of environmental conservation and effective waste management solutions. Participants were also shown informative videos highlighting the importance of safety gear in their daily work. The workshop aimed to enhance awareness, promote sustainable practices, and ensure the well-being of waste workers through proper safety measures.
Program Coordinator (SBM) Sukhwinder Singh Deol, SI Ram Gopal, and the Swachh Bharat team, along with sanitation workers from the Municipal Council Zirakpur, were present at the event. Additionally, from IPCA, Dr. Reena Chadha (General Manager), Neha Thakur (Project Executive), and Harpreet Singh (Field Executive) also attended.
