CM Announces Increased Paid Leaves for Women and Interest-Free Loans for Dairy Enterprises
Chandigarh, March 8 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini emphasized that women will play the most significant role in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047. Addressing a state-level women’s honor ceremony in Panchkula on International Women’s Day, he said, “When women move forward, families, societies, and nations progress. I am confident that India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation will be shaped by the contributions of its mothers, sisters, and daughters.”
The event was attended by Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan, Women and Child Development Minister Shruti Choudhary, and Health Minister Kumari Aarti Singh Rao. The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the empowerment and growth of women.
More Paid Leaves for Women Employees
Making key announcements for women’s welfare, CM Saini declared an increase in paid leave for women employees in Haryana government offices. Regular women employees will now get 25 annual leaves instead of 20. Additionally, women working under the Haryana Skill Employment Corporation will now receive one extra leave per month, raising their annual leaves from 10 to 22.
₹1 Lakh Interest-Free Loan for Women in Dairy Business
In another major move, CM Saini announced that women in Haryana will receive interest-free loans of up to ₹1 lakh to establish dairy units. He reaffirmed the state’s commitment to promoting women-led agricultural enterprises, stating, “Under the Women’s Agricultural Growth Scheme, Haryana is providing interest-free loans to support women in animal husbandry, beekeeping, goat farming, and dairy farming.”
44 New Anganwadi Centers Inaugurated
During the event, CM Saini also inaugurated 44 new Anganwadi centers across Haryana through an online platform. Additionally, he laid the foundation stone for a new Bal Bhawan (Children’s Home) in Charkhi Dadri, further strengthening child welfare initiatives in the state.
Launch of Three New Digital Portals for Women’s Welfare
As part of Haryana’s digital governance initiatives, the CM launched three new portals:
1. Domestic Violence Complaint and Monitoring Portal – For filing and tracking complaints related to domestic violence.
2. Aapki Beti, Hamari Beti (Your Daughter, Our Daughter) MIS Portal – A data management system for schemes supporting girl children.
3. SNP Demand and Supply Portal – To streamline the demand and distribution of Supplementary Nutrition Program (SNP) services.
CM Saini lauded Haryana’s women for excelling in various fields, stating, “Our daughters are winning medals in sports and also serving in the armed forces to protect the nation.” He reiterated the state’s commitment to women’s empowerment, ensuring their active participation in every sector of development.
