Mohali, February 11: Artists who have played a crucial role in preserving and promoting Punjab’s rich heritage on a global platform will be honored with the “Virsa Punjab Pride Award.” The grand event is set to take place on February 18 at Swami Vivekananda Group of Colleges, Banur-Rajpura Road.
Providing more details about the event, Monika Ghai, the chief organizer, stated that the award aims to recognize individuals who have significantly contributed to elevating Punjabi culture worldwide. She emphasized that the initiative seeks to inspire the younger generation to connect with their roots and take pride in their heritage.
Monika further added that the main objective of the award is to celebrate those who have showcased Punjab’s traditions and values on a global scale. She highlighted the importance of cultural platforms that revive interest in Punjabi traditions through music and performances.
Event organizers Hardeep Singh and Monika Ghai revealed that preparations for the event are in their final stages. The ceremony will witness the presence of numerous eminent personalities, including:
