Ayodhya, May 25, 2025: In a serene spiritual retreat, cricket legend Virat Kohli and actor-producer Anushka Sharma visited the Ram Mandir and Hanuman Garhi in Ayodhya on Sunday, deepening their ongoing engagement with India’s cultural and religious heritage.
The couple, accompanied by family members, arrived in traditional attire—Kohli in an off-white kurta-pyjama and Anushka in a pastel pink salwar suit. They avoided media interactions and maintained a low profile throughout their pilgrimage.
At Hanuman Garhi, the couple was welcomed by Mahant Sanjay Das and senior priest Hemant Das. Mahant Sanjay Das later remarked, “Kohli and Anushka have a deep love for spirituality, culture, and Sanatana Dharma. They offered prayers to Lord Ram Lalla and took blessings from Lord Hanuman.”
The pair’s visit comes after their recent spiritual journey to Vrindavan, where they met Shri Premanand Govind Sharan Ji Maharaj at the Shri Hit Radha Keli Kunj Ashram. Their consistent participation in spiritual activities has drawn admiration from fans, especially after Kohli’s retirement from Test cricket.
Anushka Sharma, who was born in Ayodhya, has long shown interest in spiritual practices. Kohli, once open about not participating in traditional rituals, appears increasingly influenced by his wife’s spiritual commitment.
Videos and images of their visit circulated widely on social media, resonating with fans who see the couple’s path as a meaningful intersection of personal evolution and cultural respect.
