March 3, 2025 – Bollywood actor Vidya Balan has alerted fans about several AI-generated videos featuring her that are circulating on social media, clarifying that she has no involvement in their creation or promotion.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday, the Kahaani star shared one such fake video and issued a strong warning. “There are multiple videos currently circulating on social media and WhatsApp, which appear to feature me. However, I want to clarify that the videos are AI-generated and inauthentic,” she wrote.
The 46-year-old actor further emphasized that these manipulated clips do not reflect her views or work. “Any claims made in the videos should not be attributed to me. I urge everyone to verify information before sharing and be cautious of misleading AI-generated content,” she added, using the hashtags #FakeAlert and #StayAware.
Growing Concern Over AI Deepfakes
Balan is not the first celebrity to fall victim to AI-generated deepfake content. Previously, actors like Rashmika Mandanna, Katrina Kaif, Aamir Khan, and Ranveer Singh have also been targeted, sparking concerns over digital misinformation.
With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence, the spread of fake videos has become a major issue, raising ethical and legal questions about privacy and authenticity in the digital age.
