Vaishno Devi Yatra Restarts After Three-Day Weather Break

Jammu (Rajeev Sharma): The Vaishno Devi Yatra has resumed today following a three-day suspension due to inclement weather. The pilgrimage was temporarily halted as a precautionary measure, prompted by continuous rainfall, thunderstorms, and the threat of landslides in the Trikuta Hills, which posed a safety risk to the pilgrims.

As weather conditions have improved, authorities have cleared the routes and put in place necessary safety protocols to ensure the safe passage of devotees. Shrine Board officials confirmed that the Yatra is back on track, with pilgrims once again being allowed to ascend toward the sacred Bhawan.

Devotees, who had been waiting for the green signal to continue their journey, expressed relief at the resumption of the Yatra. Many of them, eager to seek the divine blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi, have resumed their trek up the mountainside.

In the meantime, local authorities continue to advise pilgrims to stay informed through official sources regarding any weather changes and follow safety instructions for a secure pilgrimage experience. With the adverse weather behind, officials are hopeful that the rest of the Yatra season will proceed without further disruptions.
